Vibranalysis was contracted to take over an existing instrumentation and monitoring system as part of this multi-phase new lock construction with the Army Corps of Engineers. At the time of the system take over, there were 96 existing sensors. Vibranalysis swapped existing AMTS unit with a Topcon MSAXII05 at the upstream location. Vibranalysis then installed a downstream total station and created a unified survey network which is capable of performing adjustments to compensate for long-distance shots. These adjustments ensure a stable network.

Vibranalysis successfully installed and monitored In-Place Inclinometers to track lateral deformation during placement of 30’+ MSE (mechanically stabilized earth) ramps for the new Mill Basin Bridge. The data collected in combination with manual settlement plate readings allowed the contractor to compensate for elevation drop caused by loading of the original grade.
